Composite Decking, answered.

How long does a composite deck last?
Properly installed composite decking lasts 25–30 years. The boards we fit carry manufacturer warranties between 25 and 30 years against rot, splintering and fading.
Is composite cheaper than timber long-term?
Yes. Composite costs 30–50% more upfront than treated timber, but you skip a decade of staining, sealing and replacing rotten boards. Most clients break even by year 7–8.
Will it get hot in summer?
Lighter colours like stone grey and weathered oak stay noticeably cooler than dark anthracite. We can advise based on the orientation of your garden.
Can you build over an old timber deck?
Sometimes. We always lift and inspect the substructure first. If the joists are sound, we re-deck on top. If they are rotten, the lot comes out and starts again properly.
Do you supply or do I buy the boards?
We supply everything as part of the fixed quote. Trade pricing on all major brands gets passed on, so the boards usually cost you less than retail.
